ProductCamp Columbus is focused 100% on learning and knowledge sharing, with no sales pitches allowed. You will meet product people just like you, learn about new trends, enjoy breakfast and lunch, join fun raffles, and there's a rousing happy hour at the end – what’s not to love?!
What is an unconference?
The idea behind the unconference is simple; it’s a very participant-led and participant-centric event. There is one keynote speaker, and then every breakout session is proposed by conference attendees, selected conference attendees prior to the event, and then presented by conference attendees.
What are the breakout sessions?
Conference attendees will vote on conference sessions, and that will determine the content of the event. The conference planning team will announce the attendee-selected sessions one week prior to the event.
Breakout topics will vary in their content; however, they will all be educational and related to product management in some way. We don't permit pitching or selling of any products, services, books, etc
Breakout sessions are 45 minutes to 1 hour long. We have four set options for breakout session types:
Workshop: Participants learn hands-on from an experienced practitioner
Presentation: Participants learn mostly through listening to a presenter and Q&A
Discussion: Participants engage with a facilitator to explore a topic in depth to generate new ideas or insights
Panel: A hosted Q&A on a specified topic with a panel of 3-4 experts
Conference attendees are welcome to propose other presentation types.
Should a person propose an additional session type, the conference planning team will collaborate with the proposer to ensure the venue can accommodate the proposed format. We will work to the greatest extent possible with session proposers to make additional formats work.
Can I submit a topic to present?
Absolutely! We encourage as many people as possible to bring their best ideas and content to the event.
Click the topic submission button below or in the navigation bar to share your idea. If you need any support, let us know, and we’d be happy to help.
